The Truths That Shape Our Faith and Guide Our Lives
Our faith is rooted in the one true God, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and trustworthy Word, guiding what we believe and how we live. Jesus Christ came in the flesh, lived without sin, died for humanity’s sins, and rose victoriously from the grave. Through His death and resurrection, salvation is offered as a gift of grace to all who place their faith in Him. We respond to the gospel through repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. These truths are more than doctrines to affirm. They form the foundation of a life lived in relationship with God.
What We Believe
We believe the Christian faith is not just a set of ideas to agree with, it is a relationship to walk out. What follows are the truths that shape everything we do as a church, offered here not to settle every question you may have, but to invite you into them.
The One True God
We believe there is one God, revealed fully in Jesus Christ. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This one God has made Himself known to us as Father, as Son, and as Holy Spirit, not as three separate beings, but as the one true God relating to His creation in these ways. Knowing this God is not an abstract idea, it is the beginning of everything.
John 1:1
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is not simply a good book of wisdom, it is God's own voice, trustworthy for how we live, what we believe, and how we relate to Him and to one another. We take it seriously because we believe God speaks through it still.
2 Timothy 3:16
The Life, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, born of a virgin, living a sinless life, and performing miracles as a sign of who He was. We believe He willingly went to the cross, dying for the sins of the world, and that He rose bodily from the grave, defeating death once and for all. This is not just history to us, it is the foundation of our hope.
John 3:16.
Salvation Through Faith and Obedience
We believe salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe the biblical response to the gospel, following the pattern of the early church, includes repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. This is not about earning God's love, it is about receiving it and responding to it with a whole life.
Acts 2:38
The Church
We believe the local church matters. We believe in the unity of all believers in Christ, and that the church is not a building or an event, it is the body of Christ, gathered to worship, to grow, and to serve one another and our community. We believe discipleship happens best in relationship, not from a distance.
Acts 2:42
Eternal Life
We believe that whoever believes in Jesus Christ shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Eternity is not a threat hanging over us, it is the promise we are walking toward, and it shapes how we live today, with courage and without fear.
John 3:16
